Campaign Work

Patience hopes to one day work within campaign management. In her vision, a career in marketing, public relations, or political communication would be an ideal setting for her.

Virginia Tech’s College of Liberal Arts offers an immersive program through the School of Political Science. Combining this education with her experience in the School of Communications, Patience has created projects that reflect the career she hopes to one day have. The work below demonstrates the skills Patience has to develop implementation materials for campaigns using strategies and tactics, as well as the education she has received to have knowledge on these topics.

Additional work from outside the classroom has been included.

Virginia Tech Women’s Lacrosse

Throughout this site, there are graphics and writing that were produced supplementary to an independent study with the Virginia Tech Women’s Lacrosse team. There was no campaign put in place for this independent study, yet implementation materials were produced for independent objectives as assigned by a supervisor. Below is an Instagram post created for National Girls and Women in Sports Day that was meant to exemplify the team’s goal to interact with the community and encourage strong young women.

Aging In Place

During June 2019, Summit, NJ’s Mayor Radest launched a project titled Aging In Place in order to compile a guide of resources available to senior citizens in the area. Patience worked on this project through a month long internship with the City of Summit. The project yielded 4 items; a data spreadsheet for government employees to quickly understand what resources are available, a 4″x6″ call sheet made optimal for the most common storage locations (on the fridge, in a pantry, in the medicine cabinet, etc.), a full resource guide suited for businesses, and an 11″x8.5″ condensed resource guide. This is a live campaign that was continued after Patience completed the internship.
